Swimming Falls to Limestone

Brenau Swimming concluded its regular dual meet season with a 124-80 loss against NCAA Division II Limestone.

"Limestone put up fast swims against our squad, and we fought hard during each race," said head coach Blaire Bachman. "We came away with four first place wins, and I'm proud of the effort we put forward. Now we turn our attention to conference preparation and getting pumped for upcoming championships."

The Golden Tigers saw distance dominance with Courtney Hayward (SO/Townsville, AUS) taking first place in the 1000 freestyle (10:41.16) and 500 freestyle (5:13.69). Freshman, Alisha Hodgetts (FR/Perth, AUS) stepped up to win the 100 butterfly (58.21). Resident breaststroker M.K. Jabbia pulled out a win in the 100 breaststroke (1:09.50).

Brenau Swimming will travel to Christiansburg, VA for the Appalachian Swimming Conference Championships onFebruary12-15th.
