Swimming Receives Academic Accolades

The Brenau swim team was named as a Scholar All-American team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization released on Tuesday.

The award recognizes teams that achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the2016 Fall semester.

The squad put together a 3.42 grade point average, which was the sixth highest grade point average of all similar institutions and only one of ten NAIA colleges or universities.

"I'm so proud of these women and their commitment to succeeding in the classroom," said head coach Nate Rhodes. "They are exceptional in both their athletic and academic performances."

The Golden Tigers are currently ranked sixth in the NAIA Swimming and Diving Top 25 poll.
