Swim Team Honored By National Swim Organization
The Brenau University swim team was named as a Scholar All-American team for Spring 2017 by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) in a release on Wednesday.
The Golden Tigers were third among all NAIA women's team awards for the spring term with an overall 3.35 team grade point average.
Individually, swimmers Sarah Frey, Courtney Hayward, Alisha Hodgetts, Devin Horan, Ella Kleinschmidt, Madison Kosater and Maria Morell Quiroga were named as individual Scholar All-Americans by the CSCAA.
The selections recognize individual students that have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NAIA Swimming and Diving Championships.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America is the oldest professional organization of college coaches in America. The CSCAA is dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
