Swimming Competes At Igloo Invitational
The Brenau swim team had a solid showing at the Igloo Invitational hosted by Sewanee University on Saturday in Sewanee, Tennessee.
The Golden Tigers relay teams stood out in a deep field as the groups captured four top-four finishes.
The team of Lindsay Dowling, Nikoletta Alvanou, Maggie Norton and Ella Kleinschmidt placed fourth in the 200 free relay in 1:46.12. Alisha Hodgetts then joined Dowling, Alvanou and Kleinschmidt to earned second place in the 400 medley relay in 4:10.38.
Two other relay groupings each took second place in their respective evens as Hodgetts, Maggie Davis, Alvanou, Kleinschmidt raced to a time of 8:24.30 in the 800 free relay, while Dowling, Toussaint, Davis, Kleinschmidt went 1:55.28 in the 200 medley relay.
Individually, Brenau had two overall champions as Dowling won the 200 Back in 2:12.14 and Ayana Daniels won the one meter diving title with a score of 166.50.

Ella Kleinschmidt, 500 Free, 5:23.30, fourth place; 1650 Free, 18:57.87, second place;
Maggie Norton 200 Back 2:26.93, eighth place;
Yanne Toussaint, 100 Breast, 1:12.04 fifth place;
The squad amassed 365 points to place fifth out of nine teams at the Invitational. Asbury University won the meet with 902 points, while host Sewanee (659) placed second and Campbellsville (464) placed third.
Brenau next races at the SCAD Invitational on November 30th in Savannah, Georgia.
