Swimming Competes At Emmanuel Meet
The Brenau swim team competed in a quad meet this past weekend at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Ga.
The Golden Tigers outpaced South Georgia Tech 116-58 and Point University 129-42, but came up short against host Emmanuel 126-57.
In the relay events, the Golden Tigers notched a pair of second place finishes as the 200 Medley Relay team of Lindsay Dowling, Yanne Toussaint, Alisha Hodgetts and Ella Kleinschmidt placed second overall with a time of 1:53.86. In the 200 Freestyle Relay, Anna Rose joined Kleinschmidt, Toussaint and Hodgetts for a time of 1:45.30.
Individually, Dowling led the charge with a first place finish in the 100 Backstroke in a time of 1:00.83. Kleinschmidt topped off her strong meet with a second place finish in the 1650 Freestyle (18:47.40).

Maggie Davis- third place, 100 Butterfly (1:02.83); fourth place, 200 Freestyle (2:07.14);
Nikoletta Alvanou- second place, 400 Individual Medley (4:48.98); third place, 100 Breaststroke (1:12.63); fourth place, 100 Butterfly (1:03.52);
Sarah Frey- third place, 200 Freestyle (2:06.02); fifth place, 100 Breaststroke (1:15.10);
Alisha Hodgetts- third place, 100 Freestyle (57.26);
Anna Rose- fifth place, 100 Freestyle (1:01.65);
Yanne Toussaint- second place 50 Freestyle (25.45);
The squad next looks to return to the pool at the AAC Championships on February 8th in Kingsport, Tennessee.
