Swimmers Named to CSCAA Scholar All-American Team

Eight members of the Brenau swim team earned spots on the National College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American team for their outstanding academic achievement during the 2017-18 year.

Maggie Davis, Lindsay Dowling, Sarah Frey, Alisha Hodgetts, Ella Kleinschmidt, Meghan Mistric, Maria Soledad Morell Quiroga and Margaret Norton were recognized for having a 3.5 or higher grade point average.

The awards cap off a successful academic year for the swim team, which included five individual NAIA-Daktronics Scholar-Athletes and the distinction of Scholar All-American team by the CSCAA for overall academic performance. Athletically, the team captured the Appalachian Athletic Conference title and finished the season ranked eighth nationally.

In total, 181 total swim programs and 1,069 individual athletes across all divisions were recognized by the CSCAA with this honor. For more information on these awards, click here.
