Swimming Adds Bartoletta and Ibarra to 2018-19 Team
Brenau swimming announces the signings of Haley Bartoletta and Bailey Ibarra to the 2018-19 teams.
Bartoletta and Ibarra are the second and third signings for head coach Nathan Rhoades, who previously secured a commitment from incoming freshman Haley Bernardo.
"The team and I are excited to welcome all three freshman to our team," said Rhoades. "I believe that all of them will have a positive impact on our program in and out of the pool and that all three of them have the ability to get faster this year."
Bartoletta, the daughter of Tricia Bartoletta, is a graduate of Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Georgia. During her prep career, Bartoletta was a four- time state qualifier and a state finalist in the 100 butterfly, the 200 freestyle and the 200-medley relay.
When asked about her commitment to Brenau, Bartoletta said, "I am so excited to get the opportunity to continue doing what I love at the collegiate level."
Ibarra, the daughter of Jennifer Ibarra, is a graduate of Cherokee High School in Canton, Ga. While at Cherokee, Ibarra served as team captain, was an All-State performer and a three-year state qualifier.
Ibarra, who plans to major in Education, said of her commitment: "I am very excited to be a Golden Tiger for the next four years."
The reigning 2018 Appalachian Athletic Conference champions will return eight letter winners to the 2018-19 team.
