Swimming Begins Competition at NAIA National Championships

Columbus, Georgia- The Brenau swim team opened the first day of competition at the 2019 NAIA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday.

With only one event on the opening day, the Golden Tigers' 800 freestyle relay team of Yanne Toussaint, Bailey Ibarra, Nikoletta Alvanou and Ashlyn Steinbach placed eleventh with a time of 7:59.20. The relay finished two full seconds faster than its seated time.

Preliminary races start at 9 am on Thursday, with finals slated to begin at 5 pm.
