Swimming Competes in Relay Meet
Spartanburg, South Carolina- The Brenau swimming and diving team competed at a four-team, relay meet, hosted by Converse College this past weekend.
The Golden Tigers lost to King (Tn.) College 174.00-106.00, Emmanuel (Ga.) College 210.00-92.00 and host Converse College 134.00-106.00, but had some strong performances in the relay events.
The squad posted a pair of first place finishes in both the 300 back relay and the 300 fly relay. In the 300 back relay, Hanne te Velthuis, Yanne Toussaint, Bayley Blackmon raced to a first place finish with a time of 3:06.57. The 500 yard free relay team also placed first as Blackmon, Toussaint, te Velthuis and Fani Antoniadou finished in 4:50.41.

300 fly relay: second place, Haley Bartoletta, Antoniadou and Alvanou, 3:07.29;
200 free relay: second place, Bartoletta, te Velthuis, Toussaint and Antoniadou, 1:42.92;
400 free relay: second place, Antoniadou, Toussaint, te Velthuis and Chloe Ireland, 3:50.25;
400 medley relay: fourth place, Mistric, Bartoletta, Alvanou and Blackmon, 4:34.47;
500 fly relay: fifth place, Bartoletta, Meghan Mistric, Ireland and Alvanou, 5:16.23;
400 medley relay: fifth place, Ireland, Bartoletta, Alvanou and Bailey Ibarra, 4:30.32;
200 free relay: fifth place, Blackmon, Ireland, Ibarra, Mistric, 1:47.62;
The squad will next travel to compete against UNC-Asheville in Asheville, N.C. on November 9th at 1 pm.
