Swimming Defeats Running Eagles in Dual Meet
Gainesville, Georgia- The Brenau swim team used five first place finishes to defeat Life (Ga.) University 97-86 in a dual meet on Saturday.
Freshman Cloe Barthelemy earned two first place finishes as she won the 50 freestyle in 24.90 and the 100 freestyle in 54.08. Fellow freshman Gwenyth Durak won first place in the 200 freestyle in 2:03.91 and also earned a second place finish in the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.32.
Senior Bailey Ibarra also won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:40.10.
The Golden Tigers also notched two relay wins as the 200 freestyle relay team of Barthelemy, Ibarra, Haley Bartoletta and Macie Patridge touched first in 1:45.46 and then the 400 freestyle relay team of Barthelemy, Durak, Ibarra and Emily Giles added another win in 3:52.08.
Additionally, the 200 medley relay team of Durak, Bartoletta, Callie Edens and Melanie Wicht finished second in 2:00.74.

Brenau next competes against SCAD Savannah on December 2-4th in Savannah, Ga.
