Swimming Competes at Suwanee Relay Meet

Sewanee, Tennessee- The Brenau swimming and diving had several strong performances at the Sewanee Relay Meet, hosted by the Suwanee: University of the South this past weekend. 

The 200 backstroke team of Sophie Bell, Ana Alves, Sofia Bellocchio, and Hannah Tomlinson took top honors with a time of 1:53.55.

200 medley relay:

A relay team: Sophie Bell, Hannah Tomlinson, Francesca Pastori, and Ariel Furhman, 6th place, 1:56.24;

B relay team: Ana Alves, Erin Watterson, Sofia Bellocchio, and Emily DiMaggio, 10th place, 2:00.95;

200 breaststroke relay:

Hannah Tomlinson, Erin Watterson, Adriana Oetzel, and Nele Behrendt, 3rd place,  2:17.65;

500 crescendo relay (50-100-150-200 meters)

A relay team: Abi Binns, Ana Alves, Ariel Furhman, and Olga Bukowska, 5th place;

B relay team: Francesca Pastori, Sylvie Jacques, Emily DiMaggio, and Manuela Horta, 10th place; 

200 butterfly:

Francesca Pastori, Sofia Bellocchio, Olga Bukowska, and Nele Behrendt, 3rd place, 1:52.57;

1500 freestyle relay (3 x 500): 

Ariel Furhman, Abi Binns, Olga Bukowska, 4th place, 17:07.63;

400 IM relay: 

Hannah Tomlinson, Sophie Bell, Nele Behrendt, and Olga Bukowska, 3rd place, 4:20.00;

200 freestyle relay:

A relay team: Sophie Bell, Francesca Pastori, Ana Alves, and Ariel Furhman, 4th place, 1:45.08;

B relay team: Abi Binns, Sofia Bellocchio, Nele Behrendt, and Emily DiMaggio, 10th place, 1:50.05;

C relay team: Manuela Horta, Adriaana Oetzel, Sylvie Jacques, and Erin Watterson, 13th place, 1:58.21;

200 mixed medley relay: 

Sylvie Jacques, Adriaana Oetzel, Manuela Horta, and Olga Bukowska, 21st place, 2:26.21;

The squad continues the fall slate with a trip to Franklin Springs, Ga., next weekend to compete at the Emmanuel College Invitational on Saturday.
