Tigers Move Into First Place in the SSAC

Gainesville, Ga- The #7 Brenau Golden Tigers continued their winning ways with a 9-0 thumping of #14 Lee University today at the Brenau courts. This was an important SSAC match and the Tigers came to play!
The doubles teams finally played up to their potential. Coach Leslie switched the number 2 and 3 pairings, moving Hannah Thompson back to play with Eline Nagels and reuniting Jolene Wong with Liuba Orlova at number 2. This proved to be a good move with both teams playing well and helping Brenau to lead 3-0 after the doubles round.
The Tigers once again swept the singles competition, with only Eline Nagels facing a little resistance in the form of Ann Claire Butler at number 6. She steadied herself after winning the first set tiebreaker 7-5 and went on to record her sixth win in a row taking the second set 6-2.
Next up for the Tigers is Georgia College and State University on Wednesday April 7th.
