Tigers Tennis Completes Play at Clemson Invitational

Clemson, SC - On Sunday, the Golden Tigers tennis team played doubles against Armstrong Atlantic and singles against Georgia State University as they wrapped up play at the Clemson Indoor Invitational. AASU showed their experience and power during doubles play, when the Pirates took all three doubles against Brenau.

Later in the day, Brenau competed against GSU in singles. In one of the singles, senior Liuba Orlova played a thrilling first set that took over 1 hour. After saving 3 set points at 5-4 down, Liuba took the set to a tiebreaker and was not able to hold Ondrackova from GSU, losing the match 7-6 (6), 6-0. Both singles number 1 and 5 were decided in a third set super tiebreaker. Junior Lyn See Choo won the first set against Lerova 6-4, and lost the second and third 6-3, 10-5. Sophomore Eline Nagels started the match flawlessly against Lindqvist before falling by 1-6, 6-2, 10-4.

The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, Feb. 8^th at 2 pm when they take on Georgia State University on a dual match at Brenau tennis courts in Gainesville, GA.
