Tigers Dominate in Third Conference Win
Sophomore Stephanie Moniz partnered Freshman Theresa Neumeyr at doubles No. 3 to give Brenau a 1-0 lead, defeating Porterfield/Klerk 8-0. Seniors Choo/Thompson improved the overall score, after a win over Tetley/Gish at doubles No. 1. Soon after, Golden Tigers Nagels/Perdomo-Medina completed doubles play, winning on court No. 2 against Smith/Frausto 8-1.
In singles Brenau swept all six singles matches in straight-sets to defeat Emmanuel College 9-0.
Seniors Lyn See Choo and Hannah Thompson only dropped one game each to defeat Christianne Tetley and Olivia Gish 6-0, 6-1, on courts No. 1 and No. 3 respectively. Golden Tigers Eline Nagels, Stephanie Moniz and Tiffany de Almeida did not drop any games in singles, defeating their opponents 6-0, 6-0 on courts No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 respectively. Freshman Theresa Neumeyr was leading the first set 5-0 when her opponent retired due to an injury.
Brenau's next challenge will happen on Saturday, March 17th against #9 NCAA II Clayton State University. The match is scheduled to begin in Morrow, GA at 2 pm.
