Jasova Advances In Day 2 of Championships

On day 2 of the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships, Brenau's Dominika Jasova defeated #6 seeded Kateryna Shkot from Oklahoma Baptist University 1-6, 6-4, 7-5. After dropping the first set, Jasova changed her strategy and managed to hold off her competitor to capture the win.

"There are no easy matches in this tournament," said head coach Andre Ferreira. "With the exception of Dominika who received a wild card into the tournament, every other competitor won their respective USTA/ITA Regional Championship".

Jasova will continue play on Saturday at 11:00 eastern when she faces #5 seed, Emily Spiech from Davenport University.
