Tennis Blanks Emmanuel and Southern Wesleyan
The #5 Brenau Golden Tigers tennis team swept conference opponents Emmanuel (Ga.) College and Southern Wesleyan (S.C.) University 9-0 on Saturday.
In match one versus Emmanuel, the Golden Tigers swept through doubles play with two wins and a forfeit, giving them a 3-0 lead going into singles play.
In singles play, #1 Maria Perdomo breezed by Christianne Tetley 6-0, 6-1, while the remaining top three seeds each won their matches to clinch the win.
Against Southern Wesleyan, all three doubles teams won 8-0 to give the Golden Tigers an early edge, while #5 Zalina Nazarova closed out the victory with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Kaycee Blackwell.
