Golden Tigers Tennis Overwhelms RedHawks

The #6 ranked Brenau Golden Tigers softball team stormed past conference newcomer Martin Methodist (Tn.) College 9-0 on Tuesday.

In doubles play, the #1 team of Maria Perdomo and Stephanie Moniz won their match 8-1, while the #2 pairing of Dominika Jasova and Valeria Savina gave the Golden Tigers their second win of the match with an 8-3 victory. Martin Methodist forfeited the third doubles match to give the Golden Tigers a 3-0 lead going into singles play.

#5 Kelley Cohron opened singles play with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Ashlee Elkins, while Valeria Savina clinched the team win at #3 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Callie Thomas. The Golden Tigers swept the remaining matches in straight sets to capture their seventh win of the season.
