Nighthawks Fly Past Golden Tigers
After finding themselves in a 3-0 deficit after doubles play, the #6 Brenau tennis team fought valiantly in singles play, but fell short in a 6-3 loss to the University of North Georgia.
The Golden Tigers lost the first two matches of doubles play, however, the #2 doubles team of Dominika Jasova and Valeria Savina pushed their match to the limit, but could not pull out their match, losing 9-8.
In singles play, #2 Dominika Jasova dominated her match, 6-0, 6-2, over Nathalia Escobar to cut the deficit to 3-1. After dropping the #6 singles match, the Golden Tigers rallied in #3 singles as Stephanie Moniz won easily in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3. However, Brenau lost the #4 singles to clinch the win for North Georgia.
