Tennis Hosts Community Clinic

The Brenau tennis team hosted 24 participants for a tennis clinic at the Lessie Smithgall tennis complex last weekend to help raise money for the tennis program.

The hour and a half long clinic, entitled, "The Dream Clinic", raised over one thousand dollars to help the team with their operating budget for the 2017 season.

Team members created the name of the event, planned the event and structured and taught the tennis drills. Community members took an extra step by donating extra money, selling Christmas ornaments at the event and donating proceeds and renting out the indoor facility for further use.

"Our tennis team is thankful for the time spent with everyone involved in the clinic," said head coach Andre Ferreira. "In addition to this being the most successful fundraiser to date, every smile, positive feedback and high five we received was encouragement for the team's efforts."

The squad opens the 2017 season on January 29th when they travel to Furman (SC) University for a 4 pm non-conference match.
