#13 Tennis Falls to #15 Northwestern Ohio

The #13 Brenau tennis team lost fell to #15 University of Northwestern Ohio, 8-1, on Sunday in Gainesville at Lessie Smithgall Tennis Complex.

The highlight of the match was the 8-4 doubles victory for Patricia Recalde Pacua and Paula Rives Palau over the # 8 nationally ranked team of Amanda Schneider and Alisa Reshetnikova.

The team lost several highly competitive matches, including the Racers' #1 singles player Amanda Schneider topping Brenau's Maya Mammetgulyyeva 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 and #3 singles Vladica Djurdjevic outpacing Paula Rives Palau 6-1, 2-6, 10-6.

Brenau (4-12 overall) next travels to Bethel (Tenn.) University on Thursday for a 5pm eastern/4 pm central conference match.
