Tennis Rolls Past Columbia in AAC Tournament Opener
Chattanooga, Tennessee- The #10 Brenau tennis team swept Columbia College in the opening round of the Appalachian Athletic Conference tournament on Thursday.
After sweeping the doubles competitions, Evelin Gouveia won her #5 singles match in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, over Bethany Frazier for a 4-0 team lead. At #2 singles, Peeraya Charoensirisutthikul clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Caitlin Wolf to clinch the match.
Brenau advances to face the fourth seeded Tennessee Wesleyan University on Friday who defeated Reinhardt University 5-1 in the opening round of the tournament.
