Golden Tigers Tennis Represented in ITA Rankings

Tempe, Arizona- Four members of the Brenau tennis team received national recognition in the Oracle/International Tennis Association (ITA) NAIA Women's Collegiate rankings, the national office released this past week.

Senior Peeraya Charoensirisutthikul and junior Juana Zambrano each earned top 25 rankings in the individual player poll. Charoensirisutthikul, the #16 ranked player in the NAIA, and Zambrano, the #19 ranked singles player, are also the two highest rated players in the Appalachian Athletic Conference.

The accolades continued for the pairing as both players earned the #6 overall ranking in doubles play. Additionally, senior Valentina Pabon and freshman MaryWynn Brannon joined the top 25 as the duo are ranked #17 in the poll.

According to head coach Andre Ferreria, "We have been fortunate to practice and compete this fall. Our team appreciated the opportunity and worked hard on the court. It's rewarding to see four players on the list. I'm also excited to see one of our freshman on the list, MaryWynn Brannon, which shows the potential our team has in the years to come."
