#15 Tennis Falls to UNG in Non-Conference Play

Gainesville, Georgia- The #15 Brenau tennis team fell to the University of North Georgia 7-0 in a non-conference matchup at the Lessie Smithgall Tennis Center on Tuesday.

In doubles play, the Golden Tigers pairing of Peeraya Charoensirisutthikul and Juana Zambrano defeated the NightHawks #1 team of Vaishali Jorge and Johanna Lippert 6-2, but the Golden Tigers were swept in all other singles and doubles matches.

"I am glad we played UNG today," said head coach Andre Ferreira. "It was a great opportunity to get out of our comfort zone. We have a few key AAC matches in the next ten days and this was the ideal preparation for our team."

Brenau (5-3 overall, 3-2 AAC) next hosts SCAD Atlanta (1-2 overall, 1-2 AAC) on Friday, April 2nd at 2 pm.
