Tennis Ranked #25 in 2022 NAIA Coaches' Poll
Kansas City, Mo.- In the 2022 NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Preseason Poll, the Brenau tennis team sits among the nation's best entering the new season.
Head coach Andre Ferreira returns an experienced group of players from last year's 24th nationally ranked team, including two-time NAIA All-American Juana Zambrano and fellow seniors Evelin Gouveia and Valentina Pabon.
Perennial powerhouse Georgia Gwinnett topped the national poll, while Keiser (Fla.) and Xavier (La.) University round out the top-three vote getters.
In total, six Appalachian Athletic Conference teams earned spots in the poll as Union (Ky.), Montreat (NC), Tennessee Wesleyan, Reinhardt (Ga.) and SCAD Atlanta (Ga.) join the Golden Tigers among the elite.
Brenau opens the 2022 slate with a non-conference matchup against Berry (Ga.) University in Rome, Ga. on February 10th. The squad opens AAC competition on February 12th at Milligan (Tenn.) University.
