Tennis Wins Third Straight; Defeats Reinhardt 5-2

Gainesville, Georgia-The Brenau tennis team defeated Reinhardt (Ga.) University 5-2 in an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup on Wednesday.

The Golden Tigers won their third straight AAC match and are in sole possession of third place in the conference standings.

“We pulled a tough win against Reinhardt on the road today,” said head coach Andre Ferreira. “Their doubles No. 2 and No. 3 are very difficult pairings, and we found ourselves down 0-1 after doubles. Our girls did a great job bouncing back from doubles to win five singles matches, and four of those in the third set.”

Brenau (8-5 overall, 6-2 AAC) hosts non-conference opponent Georgia College (12-2 overall) on Wednesday April 5th at 3:30 pm in Gainesville.
