Tennis Opens 2026 with 6-1 Win Over Emory Oxford
Gainesville, Georgia- The Brenau tennis team opened the 2026 season with a decisive 6-1 win over Emory-Oxford (Ga.) on Saturday.
The squad began doubles competition with a clean sweep as all three Golden Tiger pairings performed well. The #1 squad of Kristina Radovic and Emma Ackermann won their doubles match over Rachel Blais and Karina Artemiev by a score of 7-5, while the #2 pairing of Maelys Perle Pigeonneau and Anita Bizigato Portes continued the strong play with a 6-3 win over Chloe Macaluso and Jennifer He. The #3 team of Nadja Noriega-Alcala and Bryson Bishop closed out doubles competition with a decisive 6-1 win over Zari Haque and Arielle Gomberg.
In singles competition, the Golden Tigers continued to play well as the team won 5 of 6 matches to clinch the victory.
