Tennis Receives 2026 AAC All-Conference Recognition
Waleska, Georgia- The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) recognized members of the Brenau University tennis program for their outstanding academic and athletic performances during the 2025-26 season, the conference announced on Monday.
Freshman Emma Ackermann received 2026 AAC Women's Tennis Freshman of the Year honors for outstanding play during her inaugural season. The Darmstadt, Germany native made her mark on the team and the conference this season by also securing AAC Second-Team All-Conference recognition.
Joining Ackermann was teammate Kristina Radovic, who also was named as a 2026 AAC Second-Team All-Conference performer. Radovic played #1 singles this season and paired with Ackermann to make the #1 doubles team for the Golden Tigers.
Radovic also received 2026 AAC Champions of Character recognition and was named to the 2026 AAC All-Academic team for her performance off the court. Champions of Character team members best represent the NAIA's Five Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership.
Five other team members also received 2026 AAC Women's Tennis All-Academic honors as Anita Bizigato Portes, Cady Geddings, Manuela Giraldo, Nadja Noriega-Alcala, and Maelys Perle Pigeonneau were named to the team.
Recipients of All-Academic honors must maintain a minimum of an overall 3.25 cumulative grade point average and have achieved at least sophomore status.
