Indoor Track Competes at COROS Challenge

Winston Salem, North Carolina- Members of the Brenau indoor track and field team competed at the COROS Collegiate Challenge in Winston Salem, North Carolina this past weekend. 

Freshman Sha’Niya Woolery continued to show well in the indoor season as she earned top honors in the shot put with a throw of 13.25 meters and 11th in the weight throw (12.94m). 

Additionally, the 4x400 meter relay team  of Laila Reed, Kayland Thomason, Kamryn Chambliss and Laeva Ridley placed third in 4:18.91.

Other Golden Tiger individual finishers include: 

Jayda Burkett: 15th place, long jump, 4.36 meters; 19th place, 200 meters, 27.98;

Kamryn Chambliss: 7th place, 60 meters, 8.47m; 14th place, 400 meters, 1:05.14;

Michel Alex: 5th place, 60 meters, 8.41; 7th place, long jump, 4.80m;

Jasmine Johnson: 8th place, triple jump, 10.44m; 17th place, 60 meters, 8.03; 

Oluwatomisin John: 4th place, 60 meters, 8.41; 24th place, 200 meters, 28.35;

Jailyn Kendrick: fifth place, weight throw, 14.66m; 13th place, shot put, 9.90m;

Hedvig Lind:, seventh place, 600 meters, 1:53.60; 

Vanessa Providence: 10th place, 200 meters, 27.57; 18th place, shot put, 9.19m;

Laila Reed, 7th place, long jump, 4.79m; 14th place, 400 meters, 1:04.78; high jump, 22nd place, 200 meters, 28.18; 

Jaeva Ridley: 5th place, 400 meters, 1:03.00; 

Elajiah Smith: 9th place, triple jump, 10.39m; 14th place, 60 meter hurdles, 10.35; 

Kayland Thomason:, 3rd place, 400 meters, 1:02.92;
