Track Makes Mark at Bulldog Open
Birmingham, AL – The Brenau track and field team closed out the regular indoor season with several impressive performances at the Bulldog Open at the Birmingham Crossplex on Saturday.
Coming off a stellar performance last week sophomore Madison Kitson had another strong showing in the long jump. Kitson had a 2nd place finish in the event by leaping to a mark of 5.76m (18-10.75). Junior Victoria Woods raced to a 7th place finish in a new personal best time of 5:38.54 in the 1 mile. Sophomore thrower Jasmine Ramsey had a huge throw in the weight throw with a new personal best of 12.77m (41-10.75), which was good enough for a 9th place finish and now ranks #5 in the AAC this season. In the 800m run Averie Akin ran PB of 2:28.85 to place 9th in the event. Taylor Knox had a season's best jump of 10.22m (33-6.5) good enough for a 10th place finish in the triple jump.
