Cole Named SSAC Field Athlete of the Week

Dana Cole (JR/West Palm Beach, Fla.) was named the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Field Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Shorter Relays this past week.

Cole, the reigning 2014 SSAC Field Athlete of the Year, set both the meet and the Brenau record with a 140'5" throw in the discus. She finished in first place in the event and her distance qualified her for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama in May.

She is the second Brenau track and field athlete to be named SSAC Athlete of the Week as teammate Elena Olsund was recognized during the week of March 24th.
