Track Honored In SSAC Postseason Awards
The Brenau track team was well represented as the Southern States Athletic Conference announced the 2015-16 Women's Outdoor Track and Field All-Conference awards on Wednesday.
Junior Aubrey Fearnow was selected as the 2016 SSAC Field Athlete of the Year for her performance at the SSAC Championships last week. Fearnow won both the hammer throw and shot put, while also placing second in the javelin and third place in the discus.
Ayana Daniels was also chosen as the 2016 Freshman Field Athlete of the Year for her performance at the SSAC Championships. Daniels won the pole vault in her first year as a Golden Tiger.
Head coach Byron Kramer was also honored as the 2016 SSAC Coach of the Year in his first year at the helm of the Golden Tigers. Kramer led his team to an overwhelming 138 point victory to secure the program's fourth straight conference championship.
Seventeen Golden Tigers were honored as first-team all-conference selections by virtue of their first place finishes. First-team selections include:

Also, nine Golden Tigers were selected as Academic All-Conference selections. Members must maintain a cumulative 3.25 GPA and have been enrolled in at least four semesters in college. Team members include:
