Track Competes at Falcon Classic
The Brenau track team had another strong early season showing at the Falcon Track and Field Classic, hosted by Montevallo University in Montevallo, Alabama this past weekend.
Ismaelle Occeus led the Golden Tigers with second place finishes in the long jump and the triple jump, as well as running a leg on the fifth place 4 x 100 relay team. The senior leapt a national qualifying 5.63 meters in the long jump, and then followed that up with a personal best mark of 11.33 meters. Also, she joined teammates Iman Williams, Cheyenne Wells and DeMichia Higgins to place fifth in the 4x100 relay in 49.75. The Lawrenceville, Ga. native currently ranks eighth nationally in the long jump.

Cheyenne Wells, eighth place, long jump, 5.07m, fifth place, 400 hurdles, 15.73, fifth on 4x100 49.75;
The squad next competes at the Susan Rouse Invitational hosted by Southern Wesleyan University on April 7th-8th in Central, SC.
