Track Shows Well At Susan Rouse Invitational
The Brenau track and field team had a strong showing at the Susan Rouse Invitational, hosted by Southern Wesleyan University in Central, South Carolina this past weekend.
Destiny Gaudlock highlighted the team's excellent performance as the freshman captured first place in the javelin, posting a mark of 40.26 to outpace the competition. She also earned a fifth place finish in the high jump with a leap of 1.45m.
Myia Neal continued her strong freshman campaign as she placed tenth in the 100 meters (12.84), tenth in the 200 meters (26.58), fifth in the 100 hurdles (15.72) and fifth in the long jump (5.06m).
Ayana Daniels also had a solid showing with two top-five finishes at the invitational. The Snellville, Ga. junior finished second in the pole vault (3.05m) and fifth in the Heptathlon (1956 points).
Nia Griffin continued the strong performances for the Golden Tigers with a second place finish in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:23.80.
Additionally, distance runner Bianca Braz placed 27th at the Huntsville Bridge half marathon, winning her age group and finishing 27th overall out of over 1,000 runners.

Sydney Haas, eighth place, hammer throw, 35.10m;
Tatyiana McClendon, eighth place, high jump, 1.30m; eighth place, triple jump, 10.44m;
Taylor Love, ninth place, heptathlon, 1558 points;
Brenau next competes at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships on April 27th-28th hosted by Montreat College in Montreat, NC.
