Maddox Garners Consecutive All-American Honors

Gulf Shores, Alabama- Senior TyLeeah Maddox tied her school-record en route to her second consecutive All-American nod at the 2022 NAIA Women's Track and Field Championships on Friday.

Maddox cleared 1.67 meters (5'5 ¾) in the high jump, which tied her for seventh place with Emma Pavelek from Point Park (Pa.) University and Brittany Jones from William Carey (Miss.) University.

Her mark tied her own previous school record which was set at the 2022 Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships last month.

Maddox is one of three Brenau track and field athletes to garner All-American honors, which includes current teammate Shatrice Dixon and former Golden Tiger greats Deishane' Honeycutt (2013-16) and Olamide Sokunbi (2013-2016). Maddox is the second Golden Tiger to earn multiple All-American honors, joining Sokunbi, who earned the status from 2014-2016.
