Track Shows Well at Emory Spring Break Challenge

Atlanta, Ga.- The Brenau track and field team competed at the Emory Spring Break Challenge hosted by Emory (Ga.) University this past weekend.

The 4x100 team of Jasmine Johnson, Gabrielle Grant, Kamryn Chambliss, and Kendra Martin placed 10th in a time of 49:00, while the 4x800 team of Averie Akin, Kamille Dixon, Victoria Woods, and Madi McMahon placed 9th place in 10:45.20.

Other top Brenau finishers include: 

Averie Akin: 38th place, 800 meters, 2:35.24;

Emelia Askew:80th place, 200 meters, 27.83;

Alli Augustin: 48th place, discus, 24.22m; 52nd place, shot put, 9.10m; 

Jerrica Bryant: 7th place, shot put, 12.03m; 27th place, shot put, 32.31m;

Kamryn Chambliss: 400 meters, 1:00.65; 19th place, 33rd place, 200 meters, 26.22;

Jennaya Coucoules: 9th place, javelin, 20.08m; 60th place, shot put, 8.27m;

Tatyana Denis: 7th place, high jump, 1.50m;

Kamille Dixon: 4th place, Steeplechase, 12:29.85; 

Jasmine Johnson: 8th place, javelin, 24.79m; 22nd place, 100 meters, 12.75;

Madison Kitson: 7th place, triple jump, 11.30m; 39th place, 200 meters, 26.24;

Taylor Knox: 23rd place, triple jump, 9.87m; 

Gabrielle Grant: 8th place, 100 hurdles, 15.76; 14th place, triple jump, 10.71m;

The squad returns to Emory next week at the Emory Thrills in the Hills meet starting on March 27th.
