Chambliss Wins 400 Title; Golden Tigers in Contention at AAC Championships
Johnson City, Tennessee- Through the second day of the 2025 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Track and Field Championships, the Brenau Golden Tigers used several strong performances to sit in second place overall through 14 events.
Junior Kamryn Chambliss earned her first individual title of the meet with a win in the 400 meters. The District Heights, Md. native notched a time of 58.64 to narrowly outlast teammate Madison Kitson by 0.13 seconds for the win.
Kitson added to her strong day's performance with a 2nd place finish in the long jump with a leap of 5.81 meters, and then ran one leg of the 4x100 relay team joining teammates Kyla Laurent, Kendra Martin, and Jasmine Johnson for a 4th place finish in a time of 48.24.

The squad sits in 2nd place overall with 73 total points. Columbia (SC) College leads with 91 points, while Milligan (Tn.) University (64 points), Montreat (NC) College (64 points) and Truett McConnell (Ga.) University (61 points) round out the top five teams.
