Tigers Over Faulkner in Four

Gainesville, GA- Junior Meredith Hardin picked up 14 blocks tonight as the Brenau volleyball team beat Faulkner in four games to run their season record to 21-8 and their SSAC mark to 4-5. Faulkner falls to 4-22 and 2-8 with the loss. The Tigers broke out in Game One with a 25-17 decision, but the Eagles came back to win the second game 25-23. The Tigers then found another gear and dominated the last two games 25-9 and 25-13 to put the match away.Hardin had plenty of help in the win as Alexis Arthur had 12 kills and seven blocks; Audra VanArsdale recorded 34 assists and 13 digs; Maida Smajic came up with 31 receptions and 15 digs and Karen Green continued her great run with 18 kills and six blocks. Kelsey Aley had 10 blocks and six digs and Courtney Frady had seven kills, five digs and four blocks. Brenau will play host to league leader Lee University tomorrow night at the Brenau gym as they try to position themselves for the SSAC Tournament coming up in two weeks.
