Tigers Lose Close One to the Koalas

Columbia, SC - The Brenau volleyball team (4-22, 1-7) lost a close one tonight to the Columbia Koalas (11-10, 4-4) by scores of 20-25, 28-30, 22-25. All three games were closely contested, particularly the second game that went all the way to 30 points before the home team pulled it out.
A highlight for the Tigers was Mekenna Cipres' 11 serving aces. She also led the team with 17 assists. Leading the way in kills was Melissa Thornton with 13, and Alexis Arthur had 10. Courtney Frady had six blocks and Arthur had nine digs, while Kerry Abernathy had eight.
Brenau will return to action on the 26th when they travel to Rome to take on Berry College.
