Rachel Adam Commits to Brenau Volleyball

Gainesville, Ga - Brenau University volleyball coach Meredith Franklin has announced the signing of her first recruit for the 2011-2012 season. Rachel Adam, a 6-5 Middle Blocker from Cedar Shoals High School, has signed a letter of intent to join the Golden Tigers for next year. Adam has played for the Georgia Juniors Club Team for the past six seasons in addition to her high school career.
Rachel was the 2010 8-AAAA First Team Middle Hitter, Northeast Georgia All Area First Team Middle Hitter and Cedar Shoals Varsity Best All Around. She has led her team in most service aces, most service points and blocks throughout her high school career. In 2009 she was Northeast Georgia All Area Honorable Mention.
"Our team and athletic department is ecstatic about signing Rachel Adam." said Coach Franklin. " She is a truly amazing individual, who happens to also be gifted athletically. Rachel will be a starter for us, and a player that I can build a program around. Rachel is a born leader, with passion, fire, and dedication. She will immediately impact our team, university, and local community. I look forward to having her on our team for the next 4 years."
