Brenau Volleyball Falls To Mobile In SSAC

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The University of Mobile is off to a strong start following the first round of the 2013 Southern States Athletic Conference Championship Tournament. The Lady Rams sailed by Brenau's Golden Tigers with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-14, 27-25) victory in Montgomery, Ala.
Caroline Ennis led the Lady Rams with 9 kills and a .727 attack percentage, while Reagin Boggs recorded 36 assists.
Brenau's Ellen Lemos had 10 kills while Lindsay Kelly accounted for 13 of the teams' digs with Pamela Konken trailing closely with 12 digs. However, the Golden Tigers' defense was not enough in the end.
Brenau plays again later today against Emmanuel College at 3:00 p.m. in their second round of pool play. Mobile will play Emmanuel tomorrowmorning at 10:00 a.m..
The top six teams after pool play will advance to the single elimination bracket play beginning Friday night.
