Volleyball Cruises Past Dalton State
The Brenau volleyball team defeated Dalton State (Ga.) University in four sets in a crucial SSAC matchup on Tuesday.
After securing the first set 25-21, the Golden Tigers let the second set slip away 15-25, but were able to rally in the third and fourth sets to clinch their 13th win of the season.
"The effort and execution tonight was great throughout the match," said head coach Michael Carter. "We were able to stay focused on keeping each component of the game sharp, and that led to success throughout the match".
The win allowed Brenau to stay in fourth place in SSAC standings and remain one game behind Bethel (Tenn.) University for third place.
Brenau (13-9, 7-5 SSAC) next travels to Faulkner (Ala.) University on Friday and Belhaven (Miss.) University on Saturday for two crucial SSAC matches.
