Volleyball Earns SSAC Road Split
The Brenau volleyball team split a pair of SSAC matches this weekend as the Golden Tigers lost 0-3 to Faulkner (Ala.) University, but defeated Belhaven (Miss.) University 3-1.
Against Faulkner, the Golden Tigers couldn't get on track as the Eagles swept the match 26-16, 25-14, 25-20.
Brenau struggled to find their offense with a 0.00 attack percentage. Sydney Koon led with six kills, while Jasmine Jones added six kills.
The Golden Tigers rallied against Belhaven 16-25, 25-19, 20-25, 21-25 to capture their 14th win of the season.
Brenau outhit the Blazers .128 to .097 for the match.
Koon led Brenau with 13 kills and 25 digs. Rachel Adam and Cayla Graham each notched 11 kills apiece. Chelsea Foster and Pam Konken combined for 32 assists.
Brenau (14-10, 8-6 SSAC) next travels to non-conference Montreat (N.C.) College next Wednesday for a 6:30 pm match.
