Volleyball Garners SSAC Awards
The Brenau volleyball team capped off an outstanding 2014 regular season with several individuals being honored by the Southern States Athletic Conference for their accomplishments.
Senior Sydney Koon was named as a first team All-SSAC selection by the conference coaches. The Johns Creek, Ga. native led the Golden Tigers in kills, attack percentage and was second in digs. Koon was previously chosen as a second team All-SSAC member in 2012.
Fellow senior Rachel Adam was a repeat selection as a second team All-SSAC honoree. The Athens, Ga. native was a 2013 second team All-SSAC member and led Brenau in blocks. Adam was also named the Champions of Character recipient as an athlete that represents the NAIA core values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership.
Cayla Graham was honored as both a second team All-SSAC choice and as an All-Freshman team member. The freshman from Dacula, Ga. appeared in 29 matches this season and was third in the team in kills.
The team graduates five seniors and returns eight letter winners to next year's team.
