Golden Tigers Cruise Past Crusaders

The Brenau volleyball team defeated William Carey (Miss.) University in four sets in Southern States Athletic Conference play on Thursday in Gainesville.

Seniors Jasmine Jones and Pam Konken combined for 32 kills, while Savannah Wilbanks added 44 assists as the Golden Tigers won their sixth match of the year.

Brenau won the first set 25-22, but dropped the second set 22-25. With the match tied 1-1, the home team won the final two sets 25-17 and 25-23.

The win moved the Golden Tigers above the Crusaders and into eighth place with seven conference games remaining.

Brenau (6-17 overall, 4-9 SSAC) hosts the University of Mobile on Friday at 7:00 pm in the Brenau Fitness Center.
