Volleyball Cruises Past Columbia in AAC Play
The Brenau volleyball team used a consistent team effort to defeat Columbia (SC) College in three sets and capture their first Appalachian Athletic Conference win on Tuesday.
Karlee Moss led the Golden Tigers attack with a season-high 18 kills for a .297 hitting percentage, while setter Savannah Wilbanks tallied 36 assists and eight digs to help the team cruise to a 25-17, 25-19, 25-18 victory.
The Golden Tigers earned a .245 hitting percentage, while holding the host Koalas to a -0.24 percentage.
Brenau (2-9 overall, 1-0 AAC) continues their road conference slate when the team travels to Bluefield (Va.) College on Friday for a 6:30 pm match. The Rams currently sit a 6-9 overall (3-2 in AAC play) and are fresh off a 3-1 win against Montreat (NC) College.
