Volleyball Falls to Truett McConnell in AAC Play

Gainesville, Georgia-The Brenau volleyball team lost to Truett McConnell (Ga.) University 3-0 (11-25, 16, 25, 21-25) in Appalachian Athletic Conference play on Friday.

The visiting Bears (7-9 overall, 2-3 AAC) jumped out to an early two-set lead and held off the Golden Tigers in a close third set to take the win.

Senior Nicole Ighile led the Golden Tigers with 12 kills and a .667 hitting percentage, while freshman Sydney Norton added 17 assists.

Brenau (1-14 overall, 0-5 AAC) next hosts Columbia International (S.C.) University (5-8 overall, 1-2 AAC) at 6:30 pm in Gainesville.
