Volleyball Opens AAC Slate with Win Over Montreat

Gainesville, Georgia- The Brenau volleyball team defeated Montreat (NC.) 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-17) in the Appalachian Athletic Conference opener on Thursday.

Junior Malone Davis posted 13 kills with a blistering .667 hitting percentage in the victory, while senior Mary Ellen Enright added 10 kills and 5 digs. 

Freshman Natalie Whilhoit continued her solid start as a Golden Tiger with 7 kills and fellow freshman Nathalia Quintero led the team with 21 assists. Senior Gabrielle Hogle also contributed 16 assists and 11 digs. 

Brenau (2-6 overall, 1-0 AAC) continues the Appalachian Athletic Conference slate on Saturday when the team travels to St. Andrews (NC) (1-3 overall, 0-0 AAC) at 11:00 am.
