Volleyball Wins Back to Back Conference Matches

Gainesville, Georgia- The Brenau volleyball team defeated Bluefield (Va.) College and Kentucky Christian University in two Appalachian Athletic Conference contests this weekend.

The Golden Tigers defeated Bluefield 3-1 (25-19, 19-25, 25-17, 25-21) as freshman Claire Beckman registered a career-high 11 kills in the win. Fellow freshman Natalie Wilhoit added 10 kills, while senior Mary Ellen Enright led the team with 15 digs. 

Against Kentucky Christian, the squad swept the visiting Knights 3-0 (25-11, 25-22, 25-14) as senior Chloe Bennett posted nine kills to lead the attack. Senior Madison McCollough added seven kills and freshman Jomaris Maldonado added 12 digs. 

Brenau (6-10 overall, 5-4 AAC) next travels to take on Truett McConnell (Ga.) University (14-6 overall, 7-2 AAC) in an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup at 6:30 pm on Tuesday.
