Volleyball Defeats Truett; Looks Ahead to AAC Tourney

Gainesville, Georgia- The Brenau volleyball team defeated Truett McConnell (Ga.) 3-2 (25-21, 23-25, 25-14, 21-25, 15-12) in the regular season finale of Appalachian Athletic Conference play on Tuesday.

Senior outside hitter Mary Ellen Enright led the squad with 14 kills and 12 digs and freshman outside hitter Natalie Wilhoit added 13 digs. Junior right side Malone Davis added 12 kills and freshman middle Claire Beckman posted nine kills. Defensively, freshman libero Jomaris Maldonado had 12 digs, while sophomore defensive specialist Dallas Morse had 10 digs. 

Setters Gabrielle Hogle and Nathalia Quintero combined for 56 assists. 

Brenau (12-16 overall, 10-10 AAC) next competes at the 2023-24 Appalachian Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball Championships in Kingsport, Tennessee. Opponent and date/time to be determined.
