Brenau Finishes Fifth at Conference Championships

Nashville, TN- The Brenau cross country team placed fifth out of a field of eight teams today at the NAIA Transouth/Southern States/Independent Postseason National Qualifier meet. The 5K race was hosted by Union University and held at the Percy Warner Park. Sophomore Lilian Korir led the way for the Tigers, finishing 17th in a time of 21:07. Maria Gonzalez finished with a strong kick to come in at 21:08 and 18th place.
Audra Cochran, who was recovering from sickness early in the week, was next (25th, 22:04) and right after her was Monica Muchene (26th, 22:27). Rounding out the top five was Regina Ogechi at 28th place and 22:40. Team standings follow:
